Mario's Recovery fund
Donation protected
On August 31st at 9:20pm, my friend Mario had just got off of work and was on his way to pick up his sisters when he was involved in a terrible car accident. His car was hit by another car at a very high speed, causing his car to spin out of control and flip multiple times. Thankfully, there were good people around who called 911, and after the Jaws of Life were used to get him out of the car, Mario was taken to OSHU into emergency surgery on his neck and spine.
I met Mario in 2017 when we were both working at the Nike Employee Store (BOS). We became friends instantly and since then, Mario has helped me in the gym, at work, but most importantly... he helped me in life. Now it's time for me to help him in a time of need.
Today, Mario is in stable condition but currently paralyzed from the chest down, with very limited arm and grip strength. Everyday he is working to get stronger and focuses on his recovery, but in order to ease the unexpected financial burden that Mario and his family are now under, I have created this fund.
If you are in a position to do so, please consider donating to his GoFundMe account. Otherwise, please share his story to raise awareness! Thank you!
*Donations will go to Mario's brother Jose and will be used towards Mario's physical therapy treatments.
