For the past four years I've set out to learn and challenge myself to gain the knowledge necessary to better serve my community. From traveling to all parts of the country such as our nation’s capital in Washington, DC and Pittsburgh, I am now ready to take on the next challenge: receiving a Master’s degree! After two unsuccessful tries of getting accepted to my dream graduate school, I finally made that dream into a reality after the third try. I was officially accepted to the USC Sol Price School of Public Policy to study public administration and nonprofit management in the fall! YES, WE DID IT! While I am thankful and excited to begin my graduate studies in Los Angeles, I am now faced with the obstacles of paying for tuition and transition costs. Currently the financial aid I received does not cover all the costs for the 2014-15 school year and I'm seeing what other ways I can find to cover my tuition and moving costs. I would greatly appreciate your support as you have continued to support me, cheered me on when I fell, and motivated me to fight on and not give up! Thank you all so much, I truly appreciate each and every one of you! Adelante y Fight On!
1) Tuition need: $6,000 (tuition for classes, books, student health insurance, additional school requests)
Note: I am already taking out a standard government loan (Federal Unsubsized Stafford Loan) and tuition need above is the need necessary to begin school.
2) Transtion costs $500 (housing, train/plane down to LA, food, living items, gas, etc.)
