I live on Manor Ave and for the last 3 years I've been working to TNR (Trap Neuter Release) the feral cats living on the block as well as rescue their kittens. To date I have TNR'd 19 adult feral cats and rescued 28 kittens from the street. I've mainly concentrated on the ferals that congregate immediately around my home however as they are caught and fixed I am looking to expand my trapping efforts further down the block to cats known to live around the VFW building by the end of the block
Currently I have two kittens under my care as a foster who are about to go to their furever home. Funds from this campaign all go towards the efforts to TNR the adults and rescue the kittens. That means purchasing traps, food, litter, paying for the fees to get the rescued cats fixed and vaccinated, any medical care the kittens need as they are being fostered, and other cat/kitten related expenses. Any extra that may be raised will be donated towards Homeward Bound, which is the shelter that I work with in order to get the kittens I rescue the vetting they need.
I am happy to answer any questions as well as to work with anyone in the area who also wants to help TNR our local feral cats. TNR allows them to live longer, healthier lives with vaccinations against disease as well as eliminating the dangers of birthing and raising kittens in the wild.
And remember there are a lot of cats and kittens who need homes! So anyone looking to adopt remember to look at your local shelters to find a pet in need!
