Chronically ill Children Ask Santa for a Dream Gift -> Santa Tells MVP -> MVP Buys Dream Gifts -> Guardians Place Gifts Under The Tree From Santa Himself -> Parents / Guardians = Heroes
The goal is to put our egos aside and anonymously change the lives of children while making their guardians the heroes as we spread the magic of Christmas to chronically ill children in need.
Our priority is SUNY Downstate Health and Sciences University, Department of Pediatrics. We intend to give all the children that many call home due to chronic illness anything they want for the holidays while simultaneously taking the burden off the parents as many struggle to provide necessities, let alone Christmas presents.
- 119 gifts to SUNY Downstate Medical Center
- 105 gifts to Family Service League - Long Island
- 48 gifts to the Ronald McDonald House
For many, the gifts we provide are the only ones they receive. Previous gifts included Oculus, Nintendo Switches, TVs, Doll Houses, AirPods, Uggs, Jordans, Laptops, Ride-on toys, iPads, and numerous infant items.
"In 2021, we broke records for the number of dream gifts bought for the children at SUNY Downstate. We were blessed to have a remainder last year and opportunistically gave over 150 gifts to two hyperlocal organizations, the Family Services League on Long Island and The Ronald McDonald House. For 2022 and beyond, we intend to expand to other regions to try and replicate what we have done with the families at SUNY Downstate." - Jared Carmel, Executive Director of The MVP Foundation, Inc.
