Help Mandi Fight Invasive Lobular Carcinoma Breast Cancer

Donation protected

My name is Mandi, and I am facing the hardest battle of my life.

I have been diagnosed with metastatic invasive breast carcinoma, an aggressive form of breast cancer that has already spread to my lymph nodes. While I am currently considered clinical stage 3, I am awaiting further imaging on January 19th for full staging. My breast tumor is over 7.5 cm (2.5 inches), and I will be starting aggressive chemotherapy, followed by surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy. My doctors estimate this fight will last 8 months to a year, possibly longer.

I am terrified—but I am determined to survive. A Single Mother Fighting to Stay Alive for Her Child

In 2020, my world shattered when my fiancé—the father of my child—passed away. Since then, I have been raising my 15-year-old child completely on my own. I am all she has. She truly needs me to beat this cancer, and I cannot lose this fight.

Losing My Livelihood While Fighting for My Life!

I am self-employed as a house cleaner. Through years of hard work, dedication, and pride in what I do, I finally built a strong and loyal client base. Unfortunately, this cancer had been growing and spreading long before it was discovered, and now it is taking everything from me—including my ability to work.

With surgery coming soon and chemotherapy ahead, I will be forced to step away from cleaning entirely while I heal. As a one-woman business, stepping away means no income at all. Because my treatment timeline falls under a year, I do not qualify for disability or SSI, leaving me without financial protection during this time.

The Emotional and Physical Toll

Chemotherapy means I will lose my hair. This is especially heartbreaking because I lost my hair several years ago and have waited so long for it to finally grow back long and healthy. Facing this kind of traumatic hair loss again is deeply emotional.

Cancer treatment also requires an entirely new way of living—clean, nourishing food, supplements, holistic and alternative treatments not covered by insurance, hair replacements, and ongoing medical and household expenses. I am not prepared for this financially, and the stress is overwhelming.

Why I’m Asking for Help

  • Housing and basic living expenses
  • Groceries and clean, cancer-fighting nutrition
  • Supplements and alternative treatments not covered by insurance

Housing and basic living expenses Focusing on healing requires a stress-free environment, but the reality of a medical journey often includes a reduced ability to work. These funds ensure a stable roof overhead, covering the mortgage/rent, utilities, and the rising costs of maintaining a home. Keeping the lights on and the space warm and safe allows me to focus entirely on my recovery rather than the pressure of monthly bills.

Groceries and clean, cancer-fighting nutrition

Nutrition is a cornerstone of my treatment plan. Following a strict "clean" diet—prioritizing organic produce, high-quality proteins, and anti-inflammatory foods—is significantly more expensive than a standard grocery list. These funds will cover the cost of fresh, whole foods and specialized nutritional needs designed to strengthen my immune system and help my body withstand the rigors of treatment.

Supplements and alternative treatments not covered by insurance While insurance covers standard procedures, it often leaves a massive gap when it comes to integrative care. I am incorporating evidence-based supplements, vitamins, and supportive therapies (such as acupuncture or naturopathic consultations) to manage side effects and improve my long-term outcome. These out-of-pocket costs add up quickly but are essential for a holistic approach to beating this.

Most importantly, I need the ability to focus on healing and being present for my child—without the constant fear of losing our home or falling behind on bills.

Asking for help does not come easily to me. I have always worked hard for everything I have. But this cancer fight is bigger than me, and I cannot do it alone.

How You Can Help

Any contribution—no matte the size—will help reduce the stress and make this healing journey possible. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping us in your prayers means more than I can express.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for taking the time to read my story, for your kindness, your generosity, and your prayers.

God bless you.
