Once again, it's that time of the year when my partner Esin and I decide it's a good idea to put our bodies through another round of pain for a good cause!
This year, on Sunday 17 September, we will again be running the NGO Marathon Sarajevo - this time in 10kg & 7kg weights vests - in the hope of raising funds to support the amazing work done by SOS Children's Village in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
For those who are not familiar with the organisation, SOS Children's Village is a global not-for-profit organisation that is dedicated to helping children without parental care obtain the basics of a safe home, food, and, perhaps most importantly, an education.
In previous years, our donations have helped secure essential home supplies for the organisation’s Youth Facility and over 100 teaching hours for children with unique needs. This year, our goal is to raise €3000 - enough to cover all school-related expenses for 26 children for an entire school year.
If you are able and willing to donate, please do so before Saturday, 16th September to allow us to transfer funds to SOS Children's Village Bosnia and Herzegovina in a timely fashion. For more information on the campaign and/or SOS Children's Village please follow these links:
