Martin and Simon here. We have entered the 2016 Mongol Rally as Team A Man Is Not a Camel
We've been friends since uni days, but have hardly seen each other since. So what better way to catch up than to drive 15,000kms over a month. To make the trip worthwhile, we are raising money for 2 awesome charities, and Shake It Up and CoolEarth
Why Shake It Up? Well a few years ago, Dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease, with my first thought being, that's what Michael J Fox has. Having read Michael J Fox's biography, it really hit home that we really don't know much about this disease. I also felt like there wasn't alot I could do for Dad. Medical research is the key to treatment improvements, and with 100% of donations going to funding research to cure Parkinson's Disease, this seemed the perfect cause.
Cool Earth is an important charity working alongside indigenous villages to halt rainforest destruction.
The first $3,000 will be split across both charities. Anything after that will go 50% to Shake It Up and 50% to help cover our costs.
The go fund me page will be open until we cross the line on August 13th so we have 3 months to raise the cash.
Help us make the trek from London to Mongolia worth every bump!
