Honor Mama Nicky, Mid-Flight Bravery

On July 16, 2025, aboard Delta Flight 1042 from Atlanta, GA to Tucson, AZ, my mother, Nicole Pruitt, was sitting quietly in first class when chaos broke out mid-air.

A woman attempted to breach the cockpit and open the emergency exit mid-flight.

With panic spreading and flight attendants overwhelmed, my mom, a mother, grandmother, daughter, protector, and retired U.S. Army veteran, stood up, stepped forward, and handled it.

She wasn’t asked. She wasn’t trained for a moment like this. She just knew someone had to act, and she did.

This GoFundMe is for her. Not because she’s asked for anything—she hasn’t. But because the internet, the community, and strangers across the country have asked how they can show support.
