In less than one year, Midwive Diane and Student Courtney have assisted more than 70 births in the slums of Uganda, all in their tiny one room clinic: Amani Family Clinic.
And now, it's time to expand!
We've done the maths, and in order to accomodate for the increasing demand on their service we need your help.
Uganda has one of the world's highest maternal mortallity rates, with 1 in every 44 women dying due to pregnancy and birth complications. This needs to end. And the only solution is adequate, time sensitive accessible skilled care. Diane and Courtney provide that.
So far, these two ladies have successfully maintained a 0% maternal mortality rate and 100% live birth rate - something that is unheard of in this part of the world.
We've found the perfect property for their clinic, we've got medical supplies and personnel lined up - all we need now is YOU. Help us establish Amani Family Clinic and get these women and their families the professional, high quality care they deserve.
