From Anchor ⚓️ to Recovery ❤️‍

Since October 2025, our dear friend, Haskell resident Mallory Biss, has been facing the hardest battle of her life. What started as a sudden health crisis was diagnosed as Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS)—a rare and debilitating neurological condition that causes the body’s immune system to attack its nerves. Throughout her extensive hospitalization and ongoing time in rehab, Mallory has been fighting with incredible resolve to regain the use of her hands and the ability to walk once again.

For those who know Mallory, you know she has always been the "rock” to her son, Xavier, and her daughter, Arielle. But as GBS has taken a toll, she has been called to do the one thing that doesn't come naturally to her: surrender and heal.

Thankfully, Mallory’s mother, Diane, has been her own rock, tirelessly holding down the fort to ensure the kids can maintain their daily lives during this fight.

How You Can Help Beyond Donations. While financial contributions go toward Mallory’s medical bills, we are also collecting gift cards to help Diane keep the household running and the kids fed.

For the Dog: Dog Food, treats, or a Pet Supplies Plus/PetSmart gift card.

Fast Food or Delivery: Taco Bell, Lantern, DoorDash/Uber Eats (local restaurants)

For Groceries: Stop-n-Shop, Shop-Rite, or BJs cards
