Cornerstone Multimedia, Film Producers, and movie Director, Bruce MacDonald, are seeking the assistance of the people of Hawaii and beyond to help get this inspirational feature film titled, MAKIN' WAVES, into production. We are ready to proceed and have raised some initial funding to create our promotional poster & video as displayed here but are in need of further Development Funds to start the pre-production process, and to secure the main production funds in order to make this a major feature film for theatres.
The funding needed will cover the following items:
(1) Advertisement & Marketing:
a) Community Participation and Support
b) Product Placement Sponsorship
c) Networking with Local & National Media
d) Location Scouting
(2) CD Soundtrack Production to include several of
Hawaii's well-known Local Artists
(3) Storyboard Artwork & Design
(4) Further Development of the Screenplay
(5) Initial Production Financing & Legal Agreements
Makin' Waves is a true life story based on the vision and compassion of a substitute Teacher, originally from San Diego, California, Brady Giusta, who made the decision to start up a Surf Team at Farrington High School; a school in the Kalihi District of Honolulu which is well-known for an unsatisfactory reputation due its record of violence. Coach Brady takes what most would consider to be "throw-away kids" and encourages each one through their personal challenges, creating the vision of a greater hope. This movie depicts how one person's commitment and selfless determination can bring transformation and victory for anyone who makes the decision to overcome the odds.
The filmmakers on this movie have collaboratively agreed to commit a percentage of the proceeds from this film to be used toward the development of programs for our youth, services for the homeless communities, scholarship programs, and other programs which will inspire the many communities within our state.

Bruce MacDonald [Director]: Recent accolades include Best Film, Best Cinematography, at Festivals around the world for his film THE PERFECT WAVE, (staring Cheryl Ladd and Scott Eastwood). The film has also been nominated for the prestigious Dove Award in the DRAMA category.
Brady Giusta [Surf Coach]: Was born in San Diego, California then has lived in Mexico, Barbados, and Hawaii. He met Jesus at 17 years old through Young Life and has been serving the last 19 years with Young Life. His passion is Jesus, his family, and teenagers whom everyone else has given up on. He has been married to Tammy Giusta for 13 years and they have three kids, Elijah, Kelia and Leilani. Brady continues to teach and coach at Farrington High School.
Dennis James Lee [Producer]: A film and music producer in Hawaii and formerly in Los Angeles, as well as the Vice-president at Cornerstone Multimedia, a production/recording studio in Honolulu, Hawaii.
