Help Baby Ty — Our Little Miracle Warrior
During my pregnancy, Baby Ty was presumed to be a healthy baby. Every test, every blood work, everything came back normal. I had no idea that he would face the challenges that came after birth. I did not find out about any of his medical conditions until after delivery, because that’s when everything came to light.
I want everyone to know that there was nothing I did or didn’t do during pregnancy that caused this. Everything Baby Ty has is the result of rare genetic disorders, and no parent could have prevented them. I dreamed of a life where he would grow, play, and thrive just like any child, but life had a different path for my little miracle.
Moments after birth, Baby Ty was diagnosed with multiple complex medical conditions that require constant care and attention:
• Sturge-Weber sequence – a rare condition affecting blood vessels in the brain and skin.
• Hypothyroidism – low thyroid hormone, affecting growth and energy.
• Adrenal insufficiency – low hormone production needed for stress response.
• Laryngomalacia – soft tissue above the vocal cords making breathing hard.
• Diabetes insipidus (DI) – causes excessive thirst and urination.
• Hypotonia – low muscle tone, making movement and coordination difficult.
• Micropenis & undescended left testicle – hormonal/developmental challenges.
• Nonintractable epilepsy – manageable seizures needing careful monitoring.
• Oropharyngeal dysphagia & chronic feeding disorder – difficulty swallowing, requiring a gastrostomy tube.
• Decreased strength, endurance, and mobility – physical activities are challenging.
• Esotropia & astigmatism of both eyes – vision difficulties.
• Panhypopituitarism – deficiency of multiple hormones affecting growth and development.
• Cortical visual impairment – vision problems caused by the brain.
• Somnolence – excessive sleepiness.
• Global developmental delay – delays in multiple areas of development.
• Chronic respiratory failure with hypoxia & ventilator dependence – needs help breathing.
• Dysautonomia – affects heart rate, blood pressure, and bodily functions.
• Excessive weight gain – due to hormonal and metabolic challenges.
• Deep tissue injury & Port-A-Cath in place – requires long-term medical care.
• Other constipation – chronic bowel issues.
Because of the severity and complexity of his medical conditions, Baby Ty is now on hospice care, requiring specialized support at home to keep him comfortable and cared for as his condition declines.
Caring for Baby Ty requires 24/7 attention, and I am unable to work due to his needs. Beyond medical care, he also requires clothes, toys, and daily comforts that bring him joy and help him feel like any other child.
We’ve created this GoFundMe to help cover Baby Ty’s daily needs, including:
• Transportation to and from hospital appointments, including gas
• Medical supplies and essentials that Medicaid doesn’t cover
• Clothes, toys, and small comforts that bring him happiness
Every donation, no matter the size, helps lighten the load and ensures Baby Ty can receive the care, love, and support he deserves every single day.
Please donate or share to help our little miracle continue to fight, grow, and thrive. Your love, prayers, and generosity mean the world to our family.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being part of Baby Ty’s journey.
