It is with broken hearts that I share, on behalf of Abe, Lauren, and the entire Brown Hen family, that Magnus passed away peacefully in his parents’ arms after a three-week stay at Boston Children’s Hospital ICU.

In his short life, Magnus endured more than any baby should, and yet he remained equal parts sweet and fiery until the very end. He filled his family’s days with music, wonder, determination, and a love far bigger than his small body. He taught everyone around him more about strength, resilience, and unconditional love than could ever be measured.

This page was originally created to support Magnus on his journey toward a kidney transplant. That journey has now changed, and this space becomes one to honor his life and to help carry his family through the unimaginable loss of their baby boy.

The love and generosity shown here has meant everything to Abe, Lauren, and our family. Your continued support will help ease the immense medical expenses, funeral costs, and the loss of income as they take the time they need to grieve Magnus and begin to navigate this new life.
