Gordon is 22 months old he was born premature and ever since birth he has had to catch up to where he should be developmentally for his age. We recently had an MRI done and the doctor has discovered traits and has dignosed him as having cerebral palsy.  We met with an orthopedic doctor at Phoenix Childrens Hospital who explained his leg muscles are not growing correctly and he will need to wear corrective orthotic braces. He will need two pairs, one for the daytime and one set for night to stretch his calf muscles as he sleeps. Our insurance will  assist with the cost of one set with the other set being paid for out of pocket. Since cannot yet afford that he will use his daytime braces with a nighttime modification in the mean time.The doctor did sound hopeful that our son can still walk normally but only if we do as she prescribes.
