Maggie's Baton Nationals Fund
Donation protected
Hi! My name is Maggie Salter and I'm going to be a Junior at Franklin HS in Portland, OR.
I've been twirling baton since I was a first grader at Glencoe Elementary and I won my first State Championship title in 2011. Most recently I received the 2016 Junior State Championship titles for my Strut, Solo and Dance Twirl as well as for the Dance Twirl Pairs routine I do with my partner, Tristan.
The 2016 National Baton Twirling Championships take place July 11 - 16 in Mobile, AL and will be my 4th National competition. Last year I was honored to receive 3rd place in my age group for both my Junior Dance Twirl and my Junior Strut routines.
I am proud to represent my family, friends and the state of Oregon when I compete at the National Baton Twirling Championships.
I am seeking sponsors to help defray my travel expenses - airfare alone is $600, plus 7 nights in a shared hotel room, meals/groceries and airport shuttle. Other costs associated with competing in the National Baton Twirling Championships include nominal coaching fees and costume rentals. We also occasionally rent a gym so that we can practice indoors with a high ceiling. My parents have been very generous in their support for my dance and baton lessons (5 days a week during the school year!) over the years, so I try to pitch in by doing my own fundraising for Nationals every year.
Any amount will be greatly appreciated. Donations of $20.00 or more will receive a set of 6 of my Watercolor Notecards by Maggie, with envelopes. You can see my paintings that are available as notecards on my facebook page:
https://www.facebook.com/WatercolorNotecardsByMaggie/ or my website that I created when I was in 7th grade and fundraising to go to Washington, DC with a group of Mt. Tabor MS students:

Thank you so much for your support - competing at the National level is a huge honor and helps me personally grow in many ways as well as helps me improve as a baton twirler.
Warmly,
Maggie Salter
