Maggie’s Second Chance
Tax deductible
Today, we found out some sad news that our foster dog Maggie has cancer. She has a grade 3 Soft Tissue Sarcoma. We will continue to foster her while S.A.F.E Animal Haven gives her treatment. The rescue is run off donations and in order to pay for the care Maggie needs, I have created this GoFundMe on behalf of the rescue. All donations will go to them and if you prefer directly contributing to the vet bills, you can call Lake Park Animal Clinic (704-893-5056) and make a donation. If choosing to go through the vet, please specify you are donating to Maggie from S.A.F.E Animal Haven Rescue. After speaking with the vet today, they estimate her expenses as of now to be anywhere from $3,000 - $3,400 . Depending on if the cancer has spread or not, we may be able to amputate the leg where the cancer currently is.
Maggie is the sweetest dog who deserves a second chance at a better life. She is only 5 years old and from the little time we have spent with her we believe she was an outdoor dog. She is now living a great life in our home and we are teaching her how to trust and be comfortable inside.
Many of you have followed Maggie's journey since we began fostering her and know she is just a doll! Her two favorite things are the car and warm blankets that just came out of the dryer. She also loves to be with her humans snuggling up wherever they are. If you find yourself able to donate to her care, it is greatly appreciated. If you are unable to donate, please share!
I caught Maggie smiling the other day because she knows she is finally safe and loved <3.

If it can't find its way home, then we will provide a safe, caring and secure environment until it finds a new home. We believe that a caring and compassionate commitment to the pets that we share our lives with provides for an enriching environment for us all. We believe that it is our responsibility to leave the footprints for the ones that will come behind us and to make a difference in our community.
