Madison's Volunteer Trip to India

Donation protected
As a dual major in Early Childhood and Special Education at York College of Pennsylvania, I'm intrigued by the wealth of lessons I will gain from my volunteer trip in India. This year I have the amazing opportunity to travel to India for three and a half weeks and volunteer in the Homes of the Indian Nation (HOINA), which was founded over 30 years ago by the wonderful Darlene Large, a graduate of Penn State University. She has spent many years helping destitute, handicapped, abused, and orphaned children in South India, providing shelter, food, clothing, medical care, education, and a caring family environment.
I will be taking an introductory course on the diverse culture of India this fall and will travel with my professor to India over my Christmas vacation. In the Spring of 2016 I will have a follow up class about my experience in India and the contributions it will add to my future in Education.
I encourage you to visit, http://www.hoina.org/ and/or http://www.ycp.edu/offices-and-services/advancement/communications/york-college-magazine/fall-2014/service-learning-in-india/  to learn more about this wonderful organization.

I am paying for college all by myself and have been waiting on many tables over the past few years to pay for my education. Every dollar helps and will go straight to the cost of this life changing trip! Thank you very much!

"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace," 1 Peter 4:10
