Help Mackenzie Hayes Fight Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma

July 5, 2025 UPDATE:
Thank you to everyone who has supported us in this fight!
Earlier in May, Mackenzie was feeling well after her first chemo treatment. With the doctor's blessing, she was able to participate at the Auburn High School graduation celebration (with modifications)! A photo has been uploaded from that day. We are so grateful for all of your generous contributions. It has been humbling to have so much support, thank you. Mackenzie and her family have been comfortable at a temporary vrbo in Auburn, AL while they continue to figure out next steps. Mac completed her 4th chemotherapy treatment recently and will look towards hitting halfway to 12 treatments by the end of this month. She is handling everything with strength and positivity. Thank you again for all of your prayers as we come up on her PET scan soon to see if her cancer is shrinking. Each contribution that you have shared with her is going to her living expenses and care and it wouldn't be possible without you. We are very grateful, thank you.
-----------
Our 18-year-old niece, Mackenzie Hayes, has been a beloved part of our home and family for the past three years. Recently, she received the heartbreaking diagnosis of Stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma and has been hospitalized since April 30th.
Despite the immense challenges ahead, Mackenzie is facing this battle with remarkable strength, courage, and hope. She has begun an aggressive treatment plan that includes chemotherapy and ongoing medical care.
Currently, Ben, our three teenagers, and I are hosting Mackenzie’s parents and sister, who traveled from Central New York to be by her side and provide daily love and support. Mackenzie has expressed her desire to remain in Auburn, AL, for her treatment and recovery.
As her discharge from the hospital approaches, we are in urgent need of temporary housing (6–12 months) that is safe and comfortable for Mackenzie and her family here in Auburn. If you know of any housing options, we would love to connect with you.
All financial donations will go directly toward her medical expenses and help ensure she has the care and comfort she needs during this incredibly difficult time. Every contribution — no matter the size — makes a difference and brings us one step closer to helping Mackenzie heal.
Thank you for your prayers, kindness, and for standing with Mackenzie and our family in this fight.
