Dear beloved family and friends of Mabel Blanca Montpellier,
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that on Friday, April 17th, surrounded by her husband Angel, daughter Genesis, and son Joshua, that Mabel peacefully went to be with the Lord.
Mabel was first diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in May 2019. By the strength of the Lord, abundant prayers, and the support of her family and friends, Mabel victoriously entered remission by November. She celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years among her loved ones.
In March 2020, Mabel was not feeling her best. At the request of the doctor her family took her to the hospital. Due to the recent events amidst COVID-19, they were not able to visit or be with her during this time. Unexpected to all, they received news that the AML had returned. For the two weeks that she was in the hospital, Mabel was not in pain, as she was sedated.
On Friday, April 17th, Mabel was moved to hospice where her family was able to be with her. We thank God who honored every prayer and petition made. She peacefully, without a struggle, went to be with our Heavenly Father.
