Ma Flora's Helping Hands, non-profit organization, was birth in the memory of Mrs. Flora Mell Gibson who dedicated her life in assisting others. As a child growing up, I was never alone because I had the company of someone in which she was babysitting. She did not care about the money, and sometimes never received any, her goal was to ensure children had a safe place to stay while their parents were away at work or just out having fun.
This non-profit will assist in empowering the youth of Sylvester and surrounding counties through programs that provide engaging year round activities for the entire family to enjoy. It is ultimately our goal to provide weekend, afterschool and summer programs for the youth in these areas.
