DISABLED VET-MOTOR BLOWN-TOW VEHICLE-REPLACE MOTOR

Hello and thank you for stopping. My name is Mark Marino. I am a 62-year-old U.S. Navy veteran, disabled - awaiting the VA’s arduous health care process for a right hip replacement and reconstruct surgery on my right shoulder’s rotator cup.
The other day I was driving to view a new place to park my travel trailer because i need to reduce my rent drastically in case of an emergency and the engine quit. How’s that for irony?
My mechanic says the engine needs to be replaced estimated cost is $6500

They say I’ve written too much, so above are the facts. who, what, when, where and why. It’s a bit thin maybe, so if you want more information keep reading. As most of my friends know, I can talk all day.
I’ve been actively searching for a new place to live for some time now. I was on my way to meet with the owner of this new property to rent a space for my travel trailer. Driving along in my GMC suburban K2500 which I’ve owned for many years, I was one mile from the meeting and the engine lost power and shut down. Come to find out, its toast. At only187,000 miles, the rods are ready to fly out the top of the engine.
So here I am with a blown engine and a suburban that I’ve replaced or rebuilt nearly everything that attaches to the vehicle or the engine. Including but not limited to dual a/c’s, transmission, differential’s... I’m talking $18k+ on this vehicle except the engine. The reason I’ve put this much money into this suburban, is because it was the top of the line and fully-loaded when it was ordered from the factory. When you own a vehicle this solid, you know it.
What do you think, was this a sign or a test for me? I think both, a test of my resolve and a sign that I’m writing this and maybe that you’re reading it too. As for resolve, I’m not stopping, no matter what happens here. You know why, because I’m not able to stop. I’ve just been running a bit out of balance for sometime now. We’ve all been there, debt to income? Funny, I never remember asking for a low-fixed income for Christmas
If you can, I could surely use your help. Some may call it a hand-out, when i give, i consider it a hand-up. But that's just me.
Need an ENGINE, approx $6500.
I appreciate your time and consideration.

This RV/travel trailer lot is just a step for me. My plan is and has been is to live off-grid. Tow the travel trailer to BLM land to State and other public lands in to great outdoors and stop whenever I want. The travel trailer is, fully-loaded setup with solar or generators if needed, self-contained. I grew up with a fair amount of space and I liked it.
Additionally, I’m currently paying $700 a month. Oh yeah, this is the ad that popped, up on one of my searches. TRAVEL TRAILER SPACE $265 a month. That’s where I was going when that big ol’ 454 passed one to the beyond. By the way, the owner drove out to meet me and interviewed me along side the road and she agreed to rent me the space right there.
