IFMA World Championships 2025 Fundraiser

Dear friends, family, and supporters,

We are reaching out to ask for your help in sending two talented Muay Thai athletes, Jacob Ordonez and Caelyn Batac, alongside their dedicated coach Rommel Oliveros to the International Federations of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) 2025 Senior World Championships, U23 Division in Antalya, Turkiye, from 22nd May to 1st of June. This prestigious event will bring together some of the best young athletes from around the world, and M-Town Academy’s own Jacob Ordonez, Caelyn Batac, and Coach Rommel Oliveros have worked incredibly hard to get to this level. To represent Canada.

About the Athletes

• Jacob Ordonez-17yrs of age: A dedicated and hardworking athlete, Jacob has been training in Muay Thai since he was 10 years old. He has proven himself as a rising star in the sport, and one of the best in Canada in his weight and age category. Jacob has competed at the IFMA U18 Youth World Championships in 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, bringing home a medal for Canada every year he’s competed. This newest opportunity to compete on the World stage in a new Senior U23 division will be a significant milestone in his career.

• Caelyn Batac-17 yrs of age: Caelyn is a powerhouse fighter who has shown incredible potential in Muay Thai since she began training at 8 years old. With passion and resilience, she has been a member of Team Canada, participating in the IFMA U18 Youth World Championships in 2022, 2023 & 2024, medalling as one of the top in the world every year she has competed. Fresh off a championship win in Arizona in March, she is eager to represent her country at the World Championships and come home as #1 in the world. 

• Coach Rommel Oliveros: Rommel has been the backbone of Jacob and Caelyn’s journey, and Head Coach of Team Canada Youth Team since 2019. His expert guidance and support have helped them grow as athletes and individuals. As a coach, Rommel’s dedication is unmatched, and this trip, bringing his athletes to the World stage is as important to him as it is to the athletes.

Why We Need Your Help

The costs of traveling to Antalya, including flights, accommodation, competition fees, and training expenses, are significant, totalling upwards of $4500.00 CAD (Each)

Unfortunately, these expenses are not subsidized through any funding from the Province of Ontario or Federally within Canada, and are covered by the athletes, their families or the gym. That’s where we need your support! Your donation will go directly toward covering the travel and competition costs for Jacob, Caelyn, and Coach Rommel, helping them train hard, get to the event safely and give their best performance!
