Masjid Al-Rahman New Building

The Muslim Society of Rhode Island, Masjid Al-Rahman, was established in 1999 to serve the Muslim community in the city of Pawtucket, RI and the surrounding towns.

The current leased space can no longer accommodate the needs of the community due to the growth of the congregation and the expansion of the Masjid’s activities.

With Allah's help then the generosity of our community members, we purchased a piece of land in a central location in the city of Pawtucket for a very reasonable price. The construction began in 2018 and the project is about 80% through with the Masjid taking shape, complete with minarets and dome.

The final vision for the Masjid is to be a house of worship and a community center. Where we come to practice and learn our faith and also to be a social hub for the Muslim community in the area.

The target for this campaign is to raise $130,000 to complete the exterior brick and stucco work. This will enable us to move to the final phase of the project which is the interior of the Masjid.
