To All of Jason's Friends, Family and Army Brothers and Sisters:
My heart is heavy as I write this. Today I learned of the passing of one of our 1st Armored Division Brother-In-Arms. MSG (Ret) Jason Sikes was found unresponsive on the morning of 19 Jan 21 in his home in Lawton, OK.
Those of us that knew Jason, from 141 Sig Bn / 146 Sig Co, 1AD, we all remember him as a boisterous, tough as nails, technically strong, PT loving Noncommissioned Officer who truly loved the Army.
Talking to his widow Melissa today, she is as you’d expect - Jason’s passing was sudden, unexpected and has throw her world upside down.
I want to do more than just send our respects and our "thoughts and prayers." I'm starting this Go Fund Me for Melissa and her family to show what we do for our Army Brothers in a time of need.
Rest Easy Jason. Your Brothers and Sisters mourn and await the day we meet on the high ground again. Iron Soldiers!
