MS and Breast Cancer: one hell of a year

In June of this year my sister, Lori, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). And while that in itself is worthy of a campaign, it is not why I’m running this for her.
At the end of this September, she was diagnosed with breast cancer as well. A particularly aggressive type called Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. She has a (surgical) lumpectomy on October 15th. Hopefully only one surgery if it hasn’t spread to the lymph nodes as well. Then onto oncology, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and herceptin. A long process. A long fight.
Lori lives in Halifax. She moved there to pursue a romantic relationship years ago. She has the loving support of her partner Patrick and his mom. Her place of work has been amazing and supportive.
But she is without our family. A family in crisis provides meal trains, rides, cleaning, flights for children, and grand children. Help. Support.
Support she will get with every fiber of our beings.
This is how we need your help. We're buying moments. Moments. A son flying in to help. Meal services so Patrick can focus on Lori. And when Lori’s care becomes intense, cleaning, rides, everything.
We are not a wealthy family. But we are loyal and hardworking, and will do everything we can for Lori. But we could use some help.
