MRP Scholarship Fund

Hi, my name is Robbin and I'm Mattie R. Powell's daughter. I am fundraising for the MRP Scholarship. The MRP Scholarship was established in honor of my mother who passed away in 2017. Mom always contributed money to low-income students in Alaska who desired to excel in higher learning by continuing in college.

The MRP serves low-income uprising seniors who are doing well academically and students who have been in college or Tech school for at least a year. Tuition, Books, Supplies, Meal tickets, and Clothing costs are very expensive for low-income students trying to maintain. I promised my mother the night before she passed away that I would continue to help students as she did. College cost are steadily going up and many students are left out because of the red tape to get a student loan. Those students who desire to excel in their education would be afforded the opportunity through the MRP Scholarship.

Here at Mattie Ruth Powell Scholarship Fund, we are driven by a single goal; to do our part in making our communities and our world a better place by investing in our youth. Our youth who live in poverty, low income and even lower-middle class are brilliant and are high achievers. Please help us with your financial donations in assisting these outstanding students.

Our decision-making process is informed by comprehensive empirical studies and high-quality data evaluation. We strive to build productive relationships and positively impact all of our pursuits from Clayton County, Georgia.
