MN Greyhound Rescue's Ivan and Cole
Minnesota Greyhound Rescue is struggling with some extraordinary vet bills at the moment.
Last week, sweet Ivan (3 yrs old) had to have a badly broken leg repaired and ended up in the ER with a severe bone infection. The break was very complicated (it had never been set at the racetrack and had healed in the wrong place, causing pain and no use of the toes) and altogether his medical bills top $3000 so far. He will need additional xrays and care.
Three days ago, senior Lurcher boy Cole suddenly began hemorrhaging blood without warning. He was rushed to the ER where he was in critical condition for 3 days. He needed ultrasounds, xrays, plasma transfusion and intensive care. We were not sure he would pull through, but he did. The bill was $7700.
MNGR's passion is for the dogs who have a difficult time finding adoption groups and homes. But these dogs tend to have extra expenses. We cannot continue to take dogs like these, injured, geriatric, etc,, without your help. Please donate if you are able, and please share.
