8th Grade Science Trip to Catalina

The Multicultural Learning Center’s  Class of 2016 will be travelling to Catalina Island for the science experiment of a lifetime and WE NEED YOUR HELP!

The cost is $435 per student (there are 30 of us) and so far we have raised about half of the $13,000 we need through our efforts.

The trip, hosted at the Catalina Island Marine Institute, consists of learning activities including island ecology, oceanography, marine biology and teambuilding. is scheduled for the week of April 25th!

Our amazing young men and women (8th graders) will work in modern, well-equipped laboratories as well as outside on the beach, in the ocean and the canyons of the bay.

We appreciate any donation - no matter how small or large. Thank you, in advance, for your support!

Most of us have been together here at MLC since Kindergarten and, as we get ready to embark upon the next phase of our journey, this will be an experience that we will carry with us for the rest of our lives!
