Help Support Therapy Horse, Mack

As many of you know, Medicine Horse is one of my favorite non-profits. Medicine Horse provides equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning sessions either free of charge or by donation to Veterans, LGBTQ+ individuals, trauma and cancer survivors, and underserved youth - fostering connection and resilience through the powerful bond between humans and animals.

Mack is the horse I fell in love with when I first attended Medicine Horse's Veteran's support group, Operation Be Herd, in 2022. My kids also quickly developed a love for his sweet nature and ability to bring joy and comfort. Mack was a big part of the reason I started volunteering at Medicine Horse and continued to get involved with other non-profits serving Veterans. Mack is vital to the Medicine Horse community - and has helped so many Veterans like me find peace, and connect with others in individual therapy sessions and groups over the years.

Unfortunately, Mack is facing a challenging health situation. He's developed a serious eye condition that has not responded to treatment and now requires surgery. The cost of Mack’s eye surgery is substantial, and I am reaching out to our community to help cover this expense. Mack gives so much to Medicine Horse and everyone who knows him. Now, we have a chance to give back and ensure he has the opportunity for a full recovery and a happy, healthy life as a therapy horse.
