We, the 12 MFA painters at Indiana University - Bloomington, have the opportunity to show our work in a group exhibition at The Painting Center in New York City (July 18 - August 13). We wrote a proposal, applied, and have been accepted for these show dates, but we need more funds to support the costs associated with the show. Our initial goal is to simply afford getting the work of all twelve of us from Indiana to New York and back. The cherry on top would be affording to send a few of our smiling faces along with the work! We have been selling our work, and fundraising on campus all year, and along with the the help of the student funding board, we are still below our goal. This exhibition will provide us as artists the opportunity to show our work at a reputable gallery in Manhattan, and further to showcase the talent that IU Bloomington has fostered. We are excited to bring visibility to our program and the University as a whole.
