Lyric Update: Friends and Family we are home!! Lyric was able to go from critical to stable to home bound within 2 weeks. Once they were able to stop giving him all the meds he was on. It was all Lyric. This trial that we had to go through just showed me how I had to be.
It showed me that I had to have patience. I had to trust others. It also showed me to let go of the things that were out of my control. I had to realize that no matter what I can’t have control over things that are just meant to be. During the whole situation when things seemed to get worse instead of better I was blaming myself. l felt like I put my son in this position cause I agreed to have the heart surgery in Colorado. I blamed myself for being so far from the other kids. I blamed me for losing my job cause we came.
Truth is..... it needed to happen exactly like that! God knew what he had in store for us! Lyrics heart is better then what it was, his lungs are functioning ( with help from medical equipment). Last week I got a call from another dealership who heard about my job situation and offered to do a over the phone interview. They offered me the position before the interview was even over! Since that interview everything started looking up!
All I had to do was restore my faith! Stop feeling sorry for the things going wrong in my life and give all my worries and troubles to god. We prayed like crazy! But most importantly I had to let go of my pride. I learned that having pride in yourself is great. But having too much is toxic!
So as we settle in from being gone for so long I am going to love life and enjoy what God has blessed us with cause one day it can just disappear without warning. And no matter how much i thought you can prepare for something ha... you really can’t.
