Lynda Galaway's Observance

Donation protected
Hello and Greetings, my name is Michael Galaway and I am the only child of Ms. Lynda J. Galaway. My Mom was taken to Medical City Hospital Dallas, on Wednesday, October 12th by ambulance. Her CO2 levels were extrememly high and pnumonia had set in.  After the CatScan we were informed that she has a massive tumor in her right lung explained as late stage lung cancer. Her left lung is completely non-functional, and her right portion that is functional has this mass.   She's been battling COPD for years, but the cancer came as a huge shock. In the hospital she was intubated, pikked, sedated, and catheterized. We have been trying to wean her off the ventilator ever since. But after talking with her Doctors and seeing her reponses to the weaning we are pulling her off the respirator Friday, October 21, 12pm. God will decide how much time she has with Me and ALL of the Family that can be here.
I am asking for donations in lieu of flowers, to cover her additonal hospital costs, and Celebration of Life Memorial. I promise to use the funds appropriately and donate whats left over to the COPD Research Foundation. My Mom is and was the most giving person I ever met, often working three jobs to support the two of us. She lived her life with a caring, gracious, loving, and Thankful attitude. Never did I once hear her blame God or anyone else for the circumstances of her life. The child product of divorce and alcoholism never turned her cynical or callous. She was a fighter all the way. Her pulmanologist Dr. Hughes says he's never met anyone who fought so hard to stay alive. He respects her more than any other of his patients for her determination.
My pride almost kept me from attempting this request, however I myself was recently laid off and am just now re-establishing a solid income. My Mom has been living with me since 2011, and I've been taking care of her and her illness. After being blessed with my wife Kathryn in 2014, my Mom finally had the daughter she always wanted and we got to share in her wisdom and Love on a daily basis. My Mom was a giver and lead by example. Even in her hardest days she would share her Love (energy) with those in need. It's with a heavy heart that appeal to you all, to ask for help for our Family. Thank You in advance, and God truly Blesses.
