Since 1983, Luna's Cafe has been your home for art and entertainment (featuring music, poetry, comedy & more), plus the freshest licuados in town.
Luna's is a local gathering place for artists, politicians, Chicano activists and downtown workers. During the past 30 years, we helped hundreds of nonprofits and community groups and individual artists by hosting free benefit fundraising.
All that loving wear and tear has taken its toll. What it will take to keep the cafe viable and open is more than I can financially manage on my own. If you've ever run or thought about running a small business you understand it's a lot like running a small nonprofit living on the edge.
We need your help to keep the great visual & performing arts flowing! We're asking you, our Luna's family of friends, patrons and supporters to step up now and help me reboot and ready Luna's for new adventures together!
Here's where the money raised goes: $45,800 to refurbish and replace interior; $14,200 for employee, operating and marketing costs; and, $2,000 for fundraising expenses.
