My name is Mazyar, an Iranian-Canadian film maker. I wrote a short surreal, script called “Lucid” as a way to rediscover some relations between dream world and reality, sexual attraction and emotional affection and the beauty of not so clear magical aspect of our world.

I have worked as an independent storyteller for near 20 years and most of my storytelling discipline has come from direction and performing in theatre.

Being able to make “Lucid” is an important step toward realizing our dream, and my goal of becoming a professional director in Canada. Which is an ambitious goal for an immigrant to realize.

We are seeking your help to share, like and hopefully contribute funding to help us produce this surreal and fantastic project.

Synopsis

The man, a middle age not satisfied married guy, has a repeating dream, in which he follows a young sexy woman ( called “Dream”) in a jungle, and because of many obstacles he seems never reaching her, hearing her laughter goes further from him, he rushes toward her voice, and sees her falling of a cliff. Observing this moment, makes him wakes-up anxiously, which follows with a fight with his wife (called “Present”), for not so clear reason.

Every night same dream, following same fight.

He realizes that he can have some control in his dream, and tries to predict, jump and pass obstacles to get closer to the “Dream”.

Every night he gets more successful and get closer. At last he arrives on time and catches her hand before falling, used to wake-up at this exact moment, he wakes up with “Dream”beside his bed this time. She looks disturbed and confused…

We at Saba MediaS always try new things and our goal is to expand our horizon everyday. each small help will means a lot to us.
