Help Send Karly to CCLT!

Around fires, in choirs, in gardens and at meals, I have been intentionally collecting and leading songs for my community for at least the past 12 years! I LOVE opening the door for people to use their voices to connect to themselves, each other, and our nature as a singing species.

For about 7 years, I've been thinking about taking the Community Choir Leadership Training in BC. I have several dear and inspiring song-leading friends who have experienced it. They've been encouraging me to take the leap. This year, Singing Heart, my grown-up choir, heard my dream and began raising money for me. Now I'm reaching out to you to help me reach my goal so I can participate in the program in September.

This training is offered by the folks who direct the Getting Higher Choir, which has around 300 members! They will work with me on leading warm-ups,
working with "pitch challenged" singers,  understanding men and women's vocal ranges, knowing how to direct with clear signals, making a business plan, group dynamics, repertoire development, and more! And they'll mentor me for a year. Having gone through the training, I will have an even larger network of amazing song-leaders who will continue to support me as I grow and bring me new songs for years to come.

Your donations will help make it possible for me to attend this training. I live frugally without much more income than I need to cover my bills each month. Hopefully this training can help shift that. In the meantime, I need your support.

I am aiming to raise as much as I'll need by the end of July so that I can make the expected payments to reserve my spot in September.
