Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens

My name is Sarah Cushman; I have worked for Leoma and Mike for the past five years. So many people have reached out to me asking how they can help or make a donation, so I decided to make a Go Fund Me help them out.

Twenty-five years ago, Leoma & Mike stumbled upon Matlacha and decided to make it their home and establish the International Headquarters for Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens. In the ensuing years, they built a foundational business for this sleepy little fishing village with its smattering of shops and restaurants. Matlacha has become a destination for those visiting Southwest Florida. Lovegrove Gallery and Gardens had become a magical place for many until Hurricane Ian devastated not only the gallery and gardens, offices, and their home but Matlacha as a whole. Leoma and Mike are determined to build back this iconic destination and continue to offer it as a place for people to visit and make special memories. Perhaps you’re one of the people who have made lasting memories at Lovegrove Gallery & Gardens; maybe you renewed your wedding vows in the garden, attended the annual “Bunny Hop” with your children or grandchildren, participated at a high school class reunion, or have experienced the beauty and blessing of a Sunrise Easter Service overlooking the bay.

So many people- fans, friends and loved ones have reached out to us, wanting to know how to help. So, we have created a "Go Fund Me" to help offset some of the costs insurance isn't covering. Those things include cleaning and repairing the gardens, raising the gallery to hurricane code, and bringing in filled gravel for our parking areas that were washed out. The list goes on.

Any amount is welcome and appreciated, and social media shares will help make this a huge success!

Keeping with Leoma’s generous spirit and appreciation for your business through the years, the three highest contributors will be gifted something special, picked out and hand-signed by Leoma herself.
