I'm starting this GoFundMe for Angela and Jason by request of their family and friends who would like to give them some assistance. It's been difficult for them to accept any kind of financial help up to now, but they finally agreed to let us do this. Though treatment is covered here it has still been financially difficult for them to go through this. Neither Jason or Angela have been able to work for months, Jason needing to help take care of Angela and take her to appointments and treatments. The bills must be piling up and making it difficult to get by let alone have any money do anything extra that may make her more comfortable, or any kind of alternative treatments.If you aren't familiar with Angela's situation, on Sept 16, 2019 Angela underwent a CT scan and 2 days later, an urgent colonoscopy. Following the colonoscopy and biopsy she was diagnosed with metastatic rectal adenocarcinoma—a type of aggressive cancer that began in the lower part of her intestine, then spread to her liver. An appointment with Tom Baker Cancer Center in Calgary was scheduled for Oct 1, 2019.Early morning Sept 22, Angela was admitted to Peter Lougheed hospital with what we now know was bacterial sepsis—an infection in the blood stream that causes lots of discomfort and can be fatal if not treated. She is currently on her 2nd round of Chemo. Trying something new now having 5 radiation treatments on the rectal tumour hoping to reduce the pain and bleeding and maybe even shrink the tumour.
