Pastor Roy and Sister Evelyn McKinley are being turned out into the streets by the organization they have devoted their lives to!
They have been at the New Life Church of God in Burbank, CA for 25 years. Pastor Roy has been a minister with the Church of God for 40 years. He and Sister Evelyn both grew up n the Church of God. It has been their entire life!
Now after all these years of dedicated and devoted service the Church of God leadership is turning their backs on them and kicking them out with nowhere to go!
Pastor Roy has not taken a salary for quite some time. He always put the needs of the church above his own. He made sure the church bills and repairs were paid. He helped pay off the building. But he does not own it. The CHurch of God organization owns the church building and parsonage.
Both structures have needed several repairs for quite some time that are far too much for Pastor Roy to do on his own. He reached out to the Church of God leaders for help and they reached back with a slap in the face and eviction!
Many many people dearly love Pastor Roy and Sister Evelyn. So many people that have attended their church are more like family than anything else.
But the Church of God organization that is allowing this to happen apparently does not love their elderly pastors! How can an organization which claims to be so great and Christ like do such a horrible thing to an elderly pastor and his frail wife?
But there are those of you that do have love in your hearts and do care about Pastor Roy and Sister Evelyn. So, if you are able, please give whatever you can to help these dear people survive in this cruel world and find a "real" New Life!
