Loren's Medical Fund

This is my niece Loren.

In the 14 months of her existence she has endured some pretty intense hardships. While most children her age get to enjoy a carefree lifestyle her has been one of emergency room visits, ambulance rides and surgeries.

I have watched my sister and brother in law in a constant state of helplessness as the scramble to medical professionals trying to understand why their daughter having so much difficultly breathing. It was to the point where her contractions were so bad you could see her chest caving in as she struggled to get air. Loren has been misdiagnosed on three separate occasions from amniotic fluids in her lungs to laryngomalacia a defect in the larynx that causes noisy breathing. There have been surgeries to correct the problem only to find it worsened her case.

Loren has now been accurately diagnosed with a vascular ring which is a congenital defect where there is an abnormal formation of the aorta. The trachea and esophagus are completely encircled compress by “the ring” which leads to difficulty breathing and digestive difficulties.

As we all know medical expenses can be costly and the CAT scan itself to determine the course of action for surgery is $3k and the family has only a week to come up with those funds. The family will be looking at an additional $7k for the surgery itself. Ideally we have a goal of raising $10k for medical expenses. Loren needs all of your prayers and support. To alleviate some financial burden will be a tremendous help and gift as her parents also have two other children to love and support.
