My baby brother Jourdan (a father of 2) has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Saying that out loud still doesn’t feel real, but this is where we are. We are devasted, but we are eternally hopeful and grateful that he is still with us.
A beautiful relationship with his girlfriend and the birth of their new baby (6 months old as of today) inspired their move to Washington D.C., where he finally landed a respectable fine dining position. A painful injury occured while simply walking to work (fractured hip) led to an MRI and Cat Scan where he discovered that cancer has metastasized, eating away at his bones. He is currently undergoing ongoing treatment that includes intense medical care, travel to appointments, medications, and the day-to-day expenses that don’t stop just because life takes a sudden, devastating turn. Even with insurance, the financial burden adds up fast — and the last thing he should be worrying about right now is money. I am creating this fundraiser to help cover:
• Medical bills and treatment-related
expenses
• Travel costs to and from appointments
• Medications and therapies not fully covered by insurance
• Basic living expenses so he can focus on fighting and healing while raising his daughter and his son, as he is father of two beautiful children.
The goal of $75,000 is intended to give him breathing room during an unimaginably difficult time. Any funds raised will go directly toward his care, recovery, and support needs as treatment continues. If you’re able to donate, share, and simply keep him in your thoughts, it would mean more than we can put into words as proud yet grieving family. Thank you for helping us show him that he’s not fighting this alone.
With gratitude,
Terrell and the Johnson family.
