My name is Jay Sales and I work with Jason.
On June 29th our friend & co-worker, Jason Lomnitz and his family including an animal menagerie, suffered a devastating fire at their home in Davis, California. Jason was on his way home from work when he received a call from his wife, the fire dept was on its way and he needed to hurry home. While his wife, 2 children, 3 cats (Betelgeuse, Bianca and Gizmo) and 2 tarantulas (Duna and Darth) all got out safely their pet snake did not. Their home and the majority of their belongings have been declared a total loss.  While Jason’s children (ages 10 & 3 years old) consider their hotel stay a “vacation”, we all know how difficult this time is for them as Jason and his family rebuild their lives.  Were hoping to raise enough $ to relieve some of the financial burden this “vacation” is costing and lessen the hardship on Jason and his wife.  While Jason is a private person, he does want us to pass along his gratitude — any help you can provide is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In general the $ will be spend on Food and Lodging cost as well as relacing some cloathing.
