Our niece Kaci Lynne Loux passed away Saturday 5.22.2021, at the age of 15.
Around 4.23 Kaci along with her parents and 2 sisters came down with Covid. Everyone but Kaci recovered just fine. Kaci was taken to see her doctor on about 4.27 with high fever and difficulty breathing. It was decided that she should be airlifted to Children's Hospital where she could get the proper care. While at Children's Hospital there was difficulties with the fever and oxygen levels. She was intubatted for awhile. On 5.17 Kaci had surgery for a tracheostomy. This was a huge turn around, she was able to talk, and she was looking so good. The family was so relieved.
In the early morning on 5.20 sadly Kaci went into cardiac arrest. She was lost for about 45 minutes. She was put on life support at that time. By early morning of 5.22 the family was informed Kaci wasn't going to make it.
It's been emotional past 30 days for the family. Multiple trips going to and from Grand Valley area to Denver. The expenses that came with that, Kaci's dad was the sole financial provider for the family. He had taken time off to be with his daughter after his quarantine. Home bills are piling up and making funeral arrangements, had brought on a huge financial strain to Kaci's family. They are in need of help.
Her parents and younger sisters appreciate any help.
