Hello, my name is Kendra and I am reaching out today to help Danielle in this unimaginable time. On on Monday, September 19 Mark and Danielle were faced with a home owners worst nightmare as someone came through their property, breaking through their gate mark like the protective, caring man that he was went outside to protect his wife and home. When he walked out of their sliding glass door, all he could see were flashlights shining in his face and shortly after gunfire rang out striking mark multiple times. Mark had no clue nor was he properly informed that the other person on the end of that flashlight and gunfire was a police officer. As Danielle watched in horror, feeling so helpless to save her husband officers quickly found out that they had shot the wrong person. Over the next few days, Dani would remain by her husband side in ICU begging for him to pull through. Mark underwent multiple very extensive surgeries to try to save his life but on Thursday the 22nd Danielle had to face the horrible reality that she would never be able to bring her husband home. Surrounded by the most devoted wife I have ever met and his loving family Mark gained his angel wings. I am asking for not only friends and family, but also our community to come forward and help Danielle through this tragic time. The emotional burden alone is too much to bear, and added with the financial burden Dani is left struggling day today trying to figure out how she will continue to get by. She is such a wonderful person that always gives to everyone without ever asking anything in return but now she is the one that needs our help. I know there is nothing we can do to bring Mark back, but I would like to be able to lessen the financial strain and allow her to take the necessary time to grieve the loss of her husband. She has a long journey ahead of her to rebuild this new life that she has been so senselessly forced into. There is no donation amount that is too small, and every penny will be appreciated more than she could ever express. Please keep her and both of their families in your prayers as they are all going through a horrible grief.
