My name is Lizz and I am a Sports Medicine Pre-Physical Therapy student at Merrimack College. I am very passionate about what I am studying and am always trying to help people. I have been presented with an amazing opportunity to volunteer in a physical therapy clinic in South Africa this summer (July 2016)! I will be able to use my knowledge and skill set to help those in need and I am beyond excited to go but as it turns out, I need a little bit of help funding my trip.
I recently joined Projects Abroad, an organization that plans mission trips to 27 countries around the world where they help provide basic education, medical care, wildlife conservation, building schools, homes, and community centers, international development, human rights development, and all around care. I am set to fly out to Cape Town, South Africa for 5 weeks next July to help in a physical therapy clinic and to build homes in the local townships.
I am volunteering my time and money to help others, and am realizing I need some help reaching my goal. The money raised will help with travel expenses and medical supplies. I am very grateful and appreciative of any donation you can contribute.
