Dear friends, 
Mitra and I  need your support. 
Mitra is my loyal doggie companion for the past 6 years.

She is such a love ...  6.5 years old and loves life. 
She has been our healing mascot during our women's healing circles and new moon gatherings giving us all healing cuddles so generously through the years.

She just loves being included and embracing life.
 So playful and deep in her love. 

She is very sick now with liver failure and hypoglycemia that came on out of the blue from an accident. I am doing every thing I can to save her life as she has saved mine so many times with her love.  

Along with her liver failure I am also at this time struggling lwith life long athsma becoming its all time worse. Breathing at %40 of my lung capasity. 

Both of these illnesses are taking us  out beyond our financial means. But to heal we must continue these treatments. 

 Mitra is an amazing dog, a lil too curious for her own good though.  
I was away last weekend doing some personal healing around my fathers death.
During the last day while she was left for the afternoon alone she got into a jar of supplements up on a shelf my guests / dog sitters  had left not realizing she could reach it.

The pills were sweetened with xylitol. Turns out xylitol is highly toxic to dogs in high doses and can be deadly. 

When I returned home I did not know she had ingested these pills  till later.

I brought her right in to the emergency clinic but it was too late to induce vomitting, they had already gotten into her system and we're bringing her blood sugar way down to 30 ( terribly low, should be up around 100) xylitol effects your blood sugar and your liver with the potential to cause liver failure. 

 I was given 2 choices that night at the clinic- to put Mitra to sleep because she would be in too much discomfort without medical intervention or start the medical treatments running $3000 -  $10,000+ 

I  just had to give her a chance to heal.

We were transferred to the Fort Collins student vet hospital the next day where they suggested  2 weeks of 24 hr care that would estimate up to 10,000 $ .

She was diagnosed with liver failure. As she worsens my lungs do too. It is a hard time.

When Mitra got sick I was experiencing lung and digestion problems that have needed weekly treatments.
And that same week we needed to replace our car.
 Ive had to take several weeks off work at this point to tend to her and my own body. 

So here we are friends in need of your love and support.

I normally would just rally and make this all work on my own, finding more work is not usually a problem  but my health and Mitras needs at this time has comprimised my ability to do this.

Our savings is depleted  from the car, initial vet bills and my  health issues. 

My lungs have been the worse they have ever been.
I need to go slow and have these weekly treatments and get my lungs breathing from the 40% they are lingering at  this year back up to breathing at 80 - 100 % 

It was a no brainier to start Mitra's treatments to heal the liver failure but  with my health the way it is I do need help getting this all paid for and to continue my lung treatments. 

 My lungs are calling out for some really deep support at this time with cronic congestion and severe athsma attacks throughout each day now. After several visits in to the medical model they have been at a loss and their steriods are simply not working on me any more and are eating up my stomach, so I really must go another route.

It is so very hard to not have energy and to focus with the lack of oxyegen.
But good news Acupunture and herbal regimine and new diet are beginning to work. 

There is good news for Mitra too - turns out doggies can heal from liver failure just takes time and lots of flushing - time in hospitals is money- I do have hope and need to give Mitra every opportunity to live on if she desires too.

 The medicinals are a combo of pharmisuticals and herbal support like milk thistle - Medical treatments and home care treatments. 

We are giving it our best shot to keep dear Mitra alive and thriving and keep me breathing deep through it all. 

She has sat by my side though all my breathing treatments and lung healing this last year I really want to give her all the support she needs at this time. 

Mitra and I sit side by side holding the vision of renewed vitality for us both... Calling in Liver and lung miracles !

The money will be used to chip away at Mitra's hospital bills and follow up sessions, pay for her meds and supplementation and liver diet foods and to rebuild her liver as well as to help me stay consistant with the rigorous acupuncture and salt spa lung treatment program and supplementation I need to be on at this time that my insurance will not cover.
