3 weeks ago, Trey was a healthy, active 15 year old. Then, a persistent stomach ache prompted his intuitive mom to take him to the dr. He is the only child of a single mother who has raised a spectacular young African American man. For reasons no one can understand, his liver was failing.
He was admitted to Doernbeccher Children's Hospital in Portland OR where he received incredible care. But they quickly decided his mysterious liver failure was beyond their expertise and life flighted him to Lucille Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford Health Center in Palo Alto CA.

Within days, Trey was given life with an emergency liver transplant at the supreme sacrifice of another family's loss of their 17 year old daughter. No one understands why this has happened, but our family's gratitude far exceeds our ability to pay for his ongoing medical bills. He will be in the hospital for 1-2 weeks plus the Ronald McDonald House for 6-8 weeks and on 10-12 lifesaving medications for years.

The expenses are beyond what we can even imagine right now - beyond medications and copays (20% of liver transplant and lifelong follow up), there are travel expenses for family to be with him, his mom's possible loss of income if she has to take unpaid FMLA leave, etc. We are asking for help. Anything helps.
Everyone who meets Trey falls in love with him. We expect great things from him in his life, and attribute his miraculous recovery just Day 3 post-op to hundreds of people praying desperately for him. If everyone who is praying for Trey helped just a little bit, it will be lifesaving help for him and his mom.
