Hello! My Name is "Lux" (Luxembourg) I am an 18 year old Belgian Warmblood. I was imported from Belgium. At one time I was a very fancy show horse. I incurred a stifle injury and was no longer wanted :( I was sent to an auction where I was rescuced! Yay! I loved my new barn family and they loved me! We did horse shows and I brought many riders along from beginners to very acomplished riders as well. I was the barn favorite and I LOVED it!
Some time later, my stifle injury began to worsen so my loving barn family retired me:) There was a new human that wanted to adopt me as their trail buddy, I am perfect for that job. Well it turned out very unfortunate for me :( there were financial problems here and I was quite neglected. My loving barn family found me... I am about 300 pounds underweight...I have sores and bite wounds from the other horses I was kept with...I had rain rot (fungus), My hooves are in such bad shape, I have thrush. The living conditions were FILTHY.
My Barn family rescued me AGAIN! They found me a loving foster mom, Barbara, who once was one of my students. She has always loved me<3 so the minute she found out I was in trouble, she came for me. Her goal is to make me healthy and strong enough to make the trip down south and retire in a warmer climate and live the rest of my years happy and safe! (I can easily live another 15 years) I have many expenses at the moment and we need your help!! Please donate to make me healthy and strong. xoxo Lux
