At birth, Ricki was born into foster care with several life altering complications. She was born with an imperfortated anus, along with several abnormalities with her bottom and three holes in her heart. To date she has had 7 surgeries and 3 more are scheduled in the next few months. So far, the surgeries she has undergone at such a young age here in the Knoxville area have been unsuccessful. A coordinated effort with her Drs and surgeons here in Knoxville was made and a specialized surgeon in Washington DC will be performing the necessary procedures needed to help Ricki.
Her adopted mother will be traveling extensively in January and in February, they will have to stay for three weeks in February at their own expense in order to give Ricki the life she deserves. The adopted mother is self employed and will be missing commission/earnings while being with Ricki. She’s the type who won’t ask for help but will drop everything to help another out. I feel as though this momma and child need one less worry while these surgeries take place. Ricki is the absolute sunshine in everyone’s lives and despite the challenges she’s faced and will face, I know that she will beat the odds. This family could use your family’s prayers as well as any monetary donations you feel in your heart. With her adopted mother missing so much work, I think it’s imperative we stand up and help her and Ricki out so they can focus on her healing. Thank you for your prayers and consideration.
