Lisa’s Cancer Recovery Fund
Donation protected
In May I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I underwent a double mastectomy in July with a six day stay in the hospital. A second surgery was performed in August for breast reconstruction. This was a transplant surgery. Harvesting fat from another part of the body. The two surgeries were so extensive they required over 20 hrs of micro surgery under anesthesia. Each surgery has taken several months of recovery to regain my strength and mental stamina. I’m finally having my third surgery November 20th. This will be revisions & tweaking from the prior surgeries. Unable to work during this time the bills have been mounting. There are many expenses insurance hasn’t covered. It’s added up to a few thousand. There are also deductibles & co pays we needed to pay that has drained my savings. I hope to be able to start looking for work again when I’m fully healed in a couple months. Until then I’m kindly asking the help of friends if they can afford to donate a few dollars to get me back on my feet and out of debt. Whatever can be given is appreciated, it all adds up. I can’t thank enough the friends who have already donated so much and I’ll be forever grateful. Unfortunately the campaign has come to a halt and the bills continue in the mail. I hate to ask for help and I wish I didn’t have to. I wish I could still be my old self but cancer is unpredictable and can affect anyone’s life in an instant. I’m glad I caught it before it was fatal however it’s changed my life forever. Thank you all for your continued support and understanding through these difficult times.
