Lisa Jirik Skluzacek's Medical Fund

Story

On April 1, 2015, Lisa was diagnosed with breast cancer. Shortly after diagnosis, she had 15 weekly chemotherapy treatments followed by 4 intensive chemo treatments given every other week. This was followed by another type of chemotherapy treatment every few weeks until surgery. On September 29th Lisa underwent a double mastectomy.  While she was home recovering, she then found out the cancer had spread to her brain and began full brain radiation, as well as radiation to the back, and chest areas.  She returned to work right after Christmas break and has worked through  chemotherapy every three weeks. Lisa is a 4th grade teacher at St. Dominic Catholic School in Northfield and her commitment to being with her students and colleagues throughout this journey is nothing short of amazing! Many people who care deeply about Lisa, Tim, Megan  (18-a student at the College of St. Scholastica) and Jack (16-Sophomore at Tri-City United HS),  have asked how they can help. One way to help the Skluzacek family is by donating to this fund. The intent of this fund is to assist with the expenses incurred that are not being covered by insurance.Thank you!
